Seeing as materials and resources for crafting are quite expensive and takes a long time to gather in Aion, I thought i would make a thread to see what crafts people where going for so we could help each other out with mats as we level up in the game.

so if you know what profession you are going for post it here in the following form:

1. Primary profession (the one you will likely master)
2. Secondary profession
3. Your current level in your primary craft (this can be udpated as we go along)

Ill start:

- Primary profession: Armorsmithing
- Secondary profession: Weaponsmithing
- Current lvl: 0 obviously

I strongly advise people take one trade to begin with. You can master two and take all the rest up to 399 but crafting in Aion is in many ways like crafting in old-school DAoC - ie it takes a long time and costs a fortune. On top of that, most of the recipes are random drops, either from monsters or work orders.

Which all means unless you are a crafting fiend and a star gold-farmer, if you try and level several crafts seriously you'll end up failing across a broad spectrum of fields.


My choices are:

Primary: Cooking
Secondary: Alchemy

As I'm going to be in full supporty mode for Aion.
In light of the above, if someone else takes alchemy as their "main", I'll give them all my alch stuff. Likewise if we end up with a zillion chefs and no alchemists, I'll do that instead.

Sounds good trey. Just to correct, you can only master 1 profession not 2. And as you said its a good idea to begin with 1 profession as 2 will burn a hole in your backpack.

You can master 2 as of 1.5 iirc, was in the patchnotes.

I´m going to lvl all profs to 399, but armorsmithing to 449 and probably cooking or alchemy as well to 449. Not decided which one yet.

ahh sorry didnt read that would be cool to have one of each master at some point to help get gear

Im also doing all other crafts, but i wont be mastering them i will be mastering the 2 listed above.

I'm not doing anything else atm due to no inventory space^^

Tailoring and Alchemy, both around 40, gonna start levling them soon.

Handcrafting 52/99p

Armorsmithing and Weaponsmithing my two i will master, but i will be taking the others to 399 aswell.
