This game was on offer on steam the other day and so I thought why not?

Well the problem is is that I can't stop playing it!!!

It's not even as if it's got good gfx or varied quests, or any kind of plot or story. The combat isn't the best but it's just sooooo more'ish.

The only way I can think of describing it is think the strategy of the old amiga classic 'Defender of the crown' meets the free form playing and combat style of 'Daggerfall'.

ATM, this game is keeping me from Global Agenda and FMLive (which is saying something!)

I originally bought this game when it was still in the original beta and loved it - managed to persuade a good number of people to buy it also and they all got hooked. It's totally addictive, probably because it feels so realistic. This is what Darkfall should have been, but wasn't. I love the fact that the community got so involved and published so many custom campaigns and maps etc.

I'm still waiting to hear about the next expansion. I'd heard it's in beta, but I don't have my original key so I can't download it without buying it again so I figured I'd wait til the xpac is out. I've seen screenies and videos and they're giving the graphics a major overhaul and tweaking the physics even more - and it's going multiplayer!! Can't wait

I downloaded the 1200 mod for this game, which is set in Europe around 1200AD (funnily enough ).

The m ain reason I picked this was it allows you to become your own king and have vassals for yourself.

Also not happy with that I decided to add my own RS banner and shield emblem. I'll be honest with you it looks better than I was hoping for!





I will post some more SS's if and when I manage to create my own kingdom and take over my own castles and towns.
