I caught this dude Friday morning. Thought he was acting kind of weird so I watched for a while and it became pretty clear he was using either a bot or a macro program.


Having said that, I did get to farm him for Favor about 8 times before he didn't bother coming back

Edit - Just watched the video and it looks like Youtube compressed it some what so you can't quite see whats going on .
What the clip is showing can best be seen from about 1:10. You can see the guy turns at 45 degree angles, casts a buff waits 5s and then repeats. The wait I assume is for the macro program to select nearest enemy and then attack. If nothing is targeted it turns another 45 degrees ans selects nearest target etc etc.

This can clearly be seen by the fact that there's mobs that would be in range of him if he would take just a few steps in any direction, yet he just does this slow methodical turn. Also note he still doesn't move when I attack him. He doesn't even turn to face me. The same result every time I ganked him.

Oh one more thing, and I can't believe I missed this - The name and shame!!! He is called Nespnana and plays a Guardian on the Firesand server.

This was actually when I first caught him. He modified his program a bit for the clip you have already seen.

Caught him at it again last night

He's level 50 now so obviously just farming gold but it's a shame that Trion have chosen to just ignore the problem. They even closed my ticket as resolved at the time. I have let them know it sucks tbh.

That's a bit poor.

Caught him a 3rd time and tbh i'm beginning to think that as long as prof gold farmers pay their subs they don't have a problem with it.

I have left an alt there now so I log in every now and again and gank him for free favor if I see him
